After graduating from North Carolina State University, Nan was an Account Executive for Kidder Peabody & Co., San Francisco. She relocated to the New York office where she served as assistant Vice President of Asset Management Marketing. In 1989, Nan moved to Norwalk, CT, as a consultant for the Manager's Funds and in 1992, she became Managing Director of Institutional Marketing and Client Service for Trainer, Wortham & Co., New York City. In 1997, Nan joined Seneca Capital Management, headquartered in San Francisco, CA, as Managing Director of Institutional Business Development.
Nan's client relationships include international and domestic Taft-Hartley plans; corporate/public pensions, endowment/foundations, and institutional consultants. Direct product exposure involves various alternative investment strategies; real estate, equity and fixed income products, and municipal bonds. She was recognized as Woman of the Year by industry peers in the New York Tri-State area for supporting the Angel Guardians for the Elderly, is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and listed in Cambridge Who's Who.
Nan is a frequent speaker at industry forums on such topics as fiduciary responsibility, managing the RFP process and establishing institutional marketing platforms for new business. She has served as an active board member for non-profit organizations including the Angel Guardians for Elderly. Nan is on the Board of Directors for Dream Catchers Therapeutic Riding Center in Virginia and is directly involved with the Ronald McDonald House in Palo Alto, CA. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina State University Foundation, is Chairperson of the NC State Foundation Nomination's Committee and is a member of the Foundation Board Executive Committee.
